Best Clinic Appointment Apps in India 2026: 6 Options Compared
Choosing clinic appointment software in India comes down to a few practical questions. Does it book patients on WhatsApp? Does it handle GST billing? Does the price still make sense when you add a second doctor? This guide compares six options using their public pages and listings. Where a vendor does not publish a price, we say so.
Disclosure: Intellibook AI is our own product and is listed alongside the others. We describe every option only from public sources, and we link to each one so you can check for yourself.
What to Check Before You Choose
- Booking channel: do patients book on a web page, by phone, or on WhatsApp?
- Reminders: are WhatsApp reminders included in the plan, or billed separately? WhatsApp Business API messages are charged by Meta, and some vendors pass that cost on per message.
- Records or booking: do you need prescriptions and patient records (an EMR), or mainly appointment booking?
- Billing: does it produce GST-ready invoices?
- Pricing model: is the price per doctor, per clinic or per message, and is GST included?
- Patient data: ask how patient data is stored and how consent is handled under India's data protection rules.
Six Clinic Appointment Apps in India (2026)
- Ray by Practo - Practice management software for clinics. Its Capterra India listing describes appointment management, EMR, billing and patient messaging. We could not reach an official price list, so request a quote from Practo.
- Eka Care - EMR and practice management software. Its website describes automated appointment booking, and a software directory lists appointment scheduling and revenue tracking. A 2026 pricing guide reports yearly plans from ₹16,999 to ₹1,00,000 plus GST, and a charge per WhatsApp message. That guide comes from a software developer, so confirm the figures with Eka Care.
- HealthPlix - An EMR for doctors in India. Its website says it serves 16 medical specialties, supports prescriptions in 14 languages, and offers a patient app for managing appointments. We did not find a public price list, so ask for a quote.
- MocDoc - Clinic management software. Its own page lists multiple calendar views, online booking with automated SMS and WhatsApp reminders, and case-sheet templates for more than 15 specialties. These are vendor claims, so ask for a price in writing.
- Doctors App - Clinic and EMR software sold as yearly plans. Its pricing page showed Silver at ₹10,999 and Gold at ₹16,999 a year, exclusive of 18% GST, when we checked. WhatsApp credit points are listed as limited on Silver and included on Gold.
- Intellibook AI - Different from the five above: it is not an EMR and does not keep prescriptions or medical records. It is an AI receptionist for WhatsApp and Instagram that replies to patients 24/7, books the right doctor, sends reminders and can take deposits through your Cashfree account. Plans start at ₹2,499 a month billed annually, with a 7-day free trial (see our pricing). Many clinics run a tool like this alongside an EMR.

Do You Need an EMR or an AI Receptionist?
An EMR keeps patient records, prescriptions and billing. An AI receptionist handles the conversation before the visit: answering questions, booking the right doctor and sending reminders. Clinics that already have an EMR often add a WhatsApp booking tool on top of it. Smaller clinics whose main problem is unanswered messages may start with the booking tool alone.
How to Compare Them Fairly
- Shortlist two or three options that match your needs.
- Ask each vendor for a written price that includes GST and any per-message WhatsApp charges.
- Check how many doctors the price covers, and what happens when you add one.
- During the trial, book and cancel a test appointment from your own phone to see the confirmation and reminder messages.
- Ask whether you can export your data if you decide to leave.
Key Takeaways
- Decide first whether you need patient records (an EMR), appointment booking, or both.
- Check whether WhatsApp reminders are included or billed per message.
- Compare the yearly cost at your own number of doctors, including GST.
- Test the reminder flow yourself during the free trial.
Do I need an EMR to take appointments online?
No. Many clinics use a booking tool on its own. An EMR becomes useful when you also want digital prescriptions and patient records.
Are WhatsApp reminders free?
Not always. WhatsApp Business API messages are charged by Meta, and some vendors pass the cost on per message. Check whether reminders are included in the plan or billed separately.
How should I compare prices?
Compare the total yearly cost for your number of doctors, including GST and any messaging charges. Monthly, yearly and per-message prices are hard to compare until you convert them to the same period.
