How to get started with
WA Receptionist

You only need two things before you start. Everything else is set up automatically inside your dashboard.

Before you begin — what you need

Just two things. Both are free and most people already have at least one.

A Facebook account

Most people have this

A personal Facebook account is all you need. It's used to verify your identity with Meta when connecting your WhatsApp number. You don't need a Facebook Business page or any paid account.

A phone number for your business

Required

This is the number your customers will message on WhatsApp to book appointments. It can be any mobile or landline number — as long as it's dedicated to your business.

Is this number already on WhatsApp?

The number cannot be active on the regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app. You'll need to delete it first — it takes about 2 minutes and won't affect any other numbers on your device.

Open WhatsApp on your phone

Go to Settings → Account → Delete My Account

Enter your phone number and tap Delete My Account

Your number is now free to use with WhatsApp Business API

That's all you need

Your WhatsApp Business Account, API access, AI configuration, and automated reminders are all set up automatically inside the dashboard during onboarding. No external applications or approvals required.

Setting up WA Receptionist

Once you have your Facebook account and phone number ready, the whole setup takes under 30 minutes.

Connect your WhatsApp number

~5 min

In your dashboard, go to Settings → click 'Connect WhatsApp'. A Meta popup opens — log in with your Facebook account, verify your phone number via OTP, and everything is set up automatically. Your WhatsApp Business Account is created during this step.

Add your services, staff & hours

~15 min

Use the dashboard forms to add the services you offer (with prices), your staff members, and your business working hours. The AI uses this information to handle bookings accurately.
